ClassCentral:免费在线课程聚合社区是一个免费的在线课程又名MOOC聚合国际知名的各大学优秀公开课程网站，把所有的在线课程都按上线的时间顺序整理到一个表格页面里。
Class Central又名“课堂中央”，该网站是由戴沃•沙何(Dhawal Shah)创办，他是一名软件工程师，白天在旧金山湾区上班，夜里在家上MOOC。他从去年11月开始筹办课程中央网，并通过导入 Hacker News 和 Reddit 等网络社区的点击量建立起了一批受众。
Class Central is a free online course aka MOOC aggregator from top universites like Stanford, MIT, Harvard, etc. offered via Coursera, Udacity, edX, Canvas Network, & others.
number of different initiatives are offering university-level education for free. Class Central aggregates these free online courses or MOOCs (Massive Open Online Course). Some of the bigger initiatives covered by Class Central are as follows:
Coursera founded by Stanford Professors Daphne Koller and Andrew Ng.
Udacity founded by three roboticists, including Sebastian Thrun, a research professor of computer science at Stanford University and currently leads the development of Google’s driverless car.
EdX is a not-for-profit enterprise of its founding partners Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Anant Agarwal, former Director of MIT's Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory, serves as the first president of edX
What are MOOCs?

MOOCs are a recent development in the area of distance education, and a progression of the kind of open education ideals suggested by open educational resources.

The courses provided by these online learning initiatives have an element of feedback, student-to-student and student-to-professor communication and provide structured deadlines like a university course. By engaging students in quizzes and exams they go above the normal methodology of online courses
